Cultivating Healthy Sexual Development for our Children: A Sexuality Talk for Parents

Cultivating Healthy Sexual Development for our Children: A Sexuality Talk for Parents

20.00

Guiding our children toward a positive and respectful sense of sexuality requires much more than “the talk” and should begin long before the hints of puberty occur.  This workshop will address the components of adolescent sexual health including body positivity, self-esteem, respect, and vocabulary. Most importantly, we will discuss how to develop an open and positive communication about the topic of sex. It’s our job to empower our children with tools to develop a strong sense of self and to deal with the often confusing and sometimes questionable situations that our children will face in their future.  This workshop is for parents of children of preschoolers to preteens.

This introductory workshop will be presented by Brenda Hunter, MS. who has worked with thousands of children and families specializing in parent education, teen sexuality, child abuse prevention, and pregnancy related issues.  She has also written Adolescent Sexuality Development curriculum for Boys and Girls Club of Greater Los Angeles and Responsible Teen Sexuality curriculum for St Anne’s.
