With Dr. Amanda Montoya, Board Certified Pediatric Physical Therapist
It’s likely that you've heard the buzz words “tummy time” around the playground or pediatrician’s office. Have you tried “tummy time” with your newborn or infant only to discover that she or he responds as though it’s torture? Why do babies need to do it if they seem to dislike it so much? Tummy time is essential for physical and cognitive development. Lack of tummy time can contribute to a “flat head” and developmental delays. The goal of this workshop is to provide a fun, interactive and supportive environment where you can learn strategies to help your newborn or infant love tummy time.
Bring your newborn or infant and participate in this workshop to experience ways to easily integrate tummy time into your daily routine in order to optimize their developmental skills and promote gross motor, fine motor, sensory motor and visual development.
Length: 75 minutes
