Infant Massage Class Series

  • Birch Family Birth Services 196 W. Hillcrest Drive Suite 93 Thousand Oaks, CA 91360 (map)

Join a supportive group environment where parents/caregivers can share experiences and learn from each other while having fun. During the infant massage classes, you will be expanding your knowledge of your baby’s verbal and non-verbal cues, developing deeper trust, and enhancing your bond/attachment with your baby while relieving any discomfort or issues.

Infant massage provides a natural stimulation of the circulatory and digestive systems, hormonal and immune systems, coordination and balance, learning and concentration, muscular development and growth, and mind and body awareness. The various strokes taught will help relieve gas and colic, constipation and elimination, reflux, growing pains and muscular tension, and teething discomfort. Overall, the massage promotes relaxation, which improves sleep patterns, increases flexibility and muscle tone, regulates behavioral states, and reduces stress hormones for both baby and caregiver.

This course consists of three 1.5-hour sessions. Each class is held at weekly intervals to allow you and your baby to absorb all the information and get used to the massage. Group sizes are kept small to ensure personalized attention. The recommended age for group classes is from birth to one. We look forward to meeting you and your little one!
